    Dear Rhonda,

Thank you very much for your introductory e-mail of January 16, 2025, raising concerns of your
members regarding the imposition of import tariffs by the Trump Administration.
I know this is a difficult and anxious time for your organization and your 16,000 members across
Atlantic Canada. As Canada's most trade-oriented province, New Brunswick is all too aware of the
threat posed to our economy by these unfair and unnecessary tariffs. Please rest assured that our
government is working tirelessly, in collaboration with the Government of Canada and Canada's
Premiers, to mitigate the impact of these measures and to deliver a strong, targeted response.

I appreciate your offer of support and I look forward to working with you, and businesses across
our province, as we address the economic impact of actions by the American administration.

    With gratitude,
